Lift the Kalasha gently and put it on the same place and read the following Mantra –
Om Aa Jighra Kalasham Mahya Tva Vishantivandavah।
Punarurjja Nivartasva Sa Nah Sahasram Dhukshvoru-Dhara Payaswati Punarma Vishatad Rayih॥
Leave water in the Kalasha and read the following Mantra –
Om Varunasyottambhanamasi Varunasya Skambha-Sarjjanistho।
Varunasya Rita-Sadanyasi Varunasya Rita-Sadanamasi Varunasya Rita-Sadanamasida॥
Wrap red cloth or Moli around the neck of the Kalasha and read the following Mantra

Avahana Mantra

One should chant the following Mantra to invoke Varun Deva by showing Avahan Mudra (Avahan Mudra is formed by joining both palms and folding both thumbs inwards).

Om Bhurbhuvah Svah Varuna! Ihagachchha, Iha Tishtha, Mama Pujam Grihana।

Perform Shri Varun Deva Pujan with Chandan, Akshata, Pushpa, Dhoop, Deep, Naivedhya etc. while chanting following Mantras.

Om Varunaya Namah Padayoh Padyam Samarpayami।
Om Varunaya Namah Shirasi Arghyam Samarpayami।
Om Varunaya Namah Gandhakshatam Samarpayami।
